Today, wind energy is only affordable when captured by large-scale turbines — machines that are difficult to transport, limited to relatively flat terrain or shallow seas, and reliant on long construction timelines requiring substantial financial backing. These constraints prevent many high-wind regions from harnessing their full potential. Our technology changes that, offering transportable, rapidly deployable turbines that open up access and have the potential to disrupt the following two key markets.

Whether on a mountaintop or a remote island, many windy locations rely on diesel generators, despite the high cost of fuel. While wind energy could offset much of this demand, current small- and medium-scale turbines are often even more expensive. As a result, mountain huts, eco-resorts, research stations, and remote villages are turning to solar and batteries where feasible. However, long winter nights and frequent cloud cover make solar unreliable in many of these regions, leaving a clear need for more suitable alternatives.
This niche market, valued at around $200 million globally, is a small but strategic slice of the $100 billion wind energy sector. It offers a unique entry point to challenge the dominance of traditional wind technologies. A modular turbine system with a configurable capacity between 50 kW and 150 kW would allow us to tailor output to actual demand, thus eliminating unnecessary over-sizing and offering a cost-effective, adaptable solution.
Many promising offshore wind sites are too deep for fixed foundations. Supporting the massive towers of conventional turbines in deep water is a major challenge. Current floating platforms cannot do so cost-effectively, because the required floaters are larger than the wind turbine itself.
Our system, by contrast, is lightweight, airborne, and requires only a single anchor point — making it far easier and cheaper to deploy in deep waters. This gives us a strong competitive edge in a large segment of the $35 billion offshore wind market. Additionally, its small, low-visibility footprint minimizes impact on coastal views, helping to reduce public opposition — one of the main barriers to offshore wind development.

We need CHF 5 million to design a medium scale (50kW to 150kW) product for the remote locations market and are currently looking for investors. If our business fits your goals, do not hesitate to contact us for more information. Once we reach this milestone, we will look towards the offshore wind market with megawatt-scale systems.
AlphAnemo's roadmap is aggressive. The climate emergency cannot wait. Since we started in November 2024, we have built many prototypes to prove our concept in practice, which lead to two patent-pending inventions. We will have a 5kW product beta by the end of the year, and plan on building a medium-scale prototype in 2026. From there, our revenue will grow exponentially, as shown on the following graphic.
We look forward to getting in touch with you!
